Margarita recipe
You’ll need a shaker, a strainer, a sieve and a cocktail glass.
Chill your glass by filling it with ice while you make the drink.
Put lots of ice, plus 1 part tequila, ½ part triple sec and ½ part lime juice into a shaker and shake hard for about 30 seconds.
Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, roll it in salt and then strain the mixture into your glass.

Some minor supervision is necessary but this craft project is a simple yet effective way to get the kids in on the party preparation!

Food crafts for kids always go down a treat and cookie decorating is no different! This is also a great way to get the kids involved in party preparations, as the cookies can be served to guests. Fruit and summer go better together than Netflix and chill, so a fruit platter is a safe way to go. Choose any fruits you like, the more colourful the better, slice them up and display them in an aesthetically pleasing manner on a serving platter.

Grape Heart Drink Decoration
Grape hearts make the cutest drink garnish for any summer drink! Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure you’re grapes are washed and gently dry them
- With a sharp knife (adults only!), cut the grape in half on a diagonal
- Flip one of your halves over and push the edges back together to form a heart
- Use a cocktail stick or food/drink pick to keep them in place
- Balance on top of your cocktail, or other party drink, and enjoy!
Fruit Kebabs
This idea works particularly well with melon, or with firmer fruit like apples. Once you’ve sliced your fruit into thickish pieces, take a small cookie cutter and cut your shapes. Once you’re done, take a kebab stick and stick your fruit on there, we’d recommend doing alternate fruits, especially if the colours are alternating. Place on a platter or plate and let your guests enjoy!
